27 is 42 across

Baseball players travel all over the country and for years they do it on buses or through small airports, so it's no wonder crosswords puzzles are a popular pastime in clubhouses across Major League Baseball.

The answer wasn't too far from the question, as one of his teammates taped a blown-up copy of the puzzle to his locker, by the nameplate that is five letters, beginning with R -- "Rolen." Written on the copy was "You know you've made it when..."

Rookie Drew Stubbs was certainly impressed: "You get your own bobblehead, that's cool, but you know who appreciates that? Baseball fans," Stubbs said to outfielder Jonny Gomes in the next locker. "You get in the USA Today crossword puzzle? That's everybody."
