Sophomore goalie Connor Knapp became the third Miamian in school history - and the second this season - to record four shutouts in a season when he blanked Ohio State on Saturday.

Miami tied that game, 0-0 and lost the shootout. It was the third scoreless game in Miami history and the first since Feb. 7, 1998.

Reichard already has posted five zeroes this season, setting a single-season Miami record. Miami's all-time shutouts leader, David Burleigh, is the other player with a four-shutout season.

Knapp has six career shutouts, and Reichard has seven.

Here's a list of Miami's single-season and career shutout leaders:

OBLIGATORY PALMER UPDATE: Senior forward Jarod Palmer tied Miami's all-time games played and consecutive games played record by suiting up for both games against Ohio State last weekend.

Palmer, who has never missed a game in his four seasons as a RedHawk, played his 161st game to tie 2008 graduate Ryan Jones on Saturday.

Also, Palmer had a goal and an assist over the weekend to give him 40 points this season. It was the first time Palmer has reached 40 points for his career.

Since the opening of Cady Arena, there have been seven 40-point seasons. Here is a list of 40-point seasons since the rink's opening:

Nathan Davis 50

HETLAND'S RETURN: Senior forward Dane Hetland was in the lineup for the first time since Nov. 27 on Friday, and he notched an assist. It was the fifth point of his career.

Forward Gary Steffes also dressed on Friday for senior night, but he did not get on the scoresheet.

CAREER BESTS: Junior defenseman Vincent LoVerde set career bests in goals and points with his one-goal, one-assist effort on Friday.

LoVerde's previous best was one goal and eight points, and he netted his second goal and picked up his ninth point in the 6-2 win.

VO-GOAL-HUBER: Sophomore forward Trent Vogelhuber scored just twice in the first 29 games of the season, but he has netted four goals in the last seven.

RE-VAIVED OFFENSE: Junior forward Justin Vaive scored for the second time in three games on Friday.

Vaive has five goals on the season, and had not found the net in 14 straight games previously.

His goal was also an eventual game winner, his second of the season.

100-POINT CLUB: Palmer moved into a tie for 12th on the all-time Miami points leaderboard with his two-point weekend.

Palmer now has 44 goals and 88 assists for 132 points for his career, tying him with 2008 graduate Nathan Davis.

Junior center Carter Camper recorded one assist for point number 117 over the weekend as he remained in 29th place.

Junior center Tommy Wingels pulled to within seven points of 100 with his goal last Friday.
