Sophomore forward Alden Hirschfeld snapped a wrist shot past Michigan junior goalie Shawn Hunwick early in double overtime as Miami beat Michigan, 3-2 to advance to the Frozen Four for the second straight season.

RedHawks sophomore goalie Connor Knapp stopped a career-high 55 shots in the win.
Junior center Pat Cannone scored Miami's first two goals. He knocked the first one in off a pass from behind the goal by junior center Carter Camper.
David Wohlberg scored on a rebound shot for the Wolverines moments later, tying the score.
Chad Langlais gave Michigan its only lead of the game early in the second period, 2-1 when his blast redirected off Miami defenseman Will Weber and into the net.
But less than three minutes later, Cannone netted another power play goal when he repeatedly poked at a loose puck on Hunwick's pad until it slid into the net.
The teams went over 58 minutes without a goal before Hirschfeld's tally ended the game.
Hirschfeld's goal was just his seventh of the season, but it was his third game winner of 2009-10.
GRADES
FORWARDS: B+. They scored all three goals while battling arguably the hottest team in the country.
Cannone had been coming on the second half of the season, but this is the most clutch he has been in his Miami career.
Junior captain Tommy Wingels has hit everyone in sight.
DEFENSEMEN: B-. Miami still misses junior Vincent LoVerde, evidenced by the 57 shots they allowed.
It was disclosed tonight that LoVerde spent time in the hospital, but it's unclear whether he could return for the Frozen Four.
Sophomore Will Weber really struggled early, but sophomore Cameron Schilling played one of his best games.
GOALTENDING: A. Pretty obvious call here. Knapp stopped a career-high 55 shots, and he makes it tough for Blasi to decide on a starting goalie for the national semifinal game in two weeks.
