After completing another sweep last weekend, Miami continues to hold the No. 1 spot in all three major college hockey polls.
The RedHawks, who beat Lake Superior State, 2-0 and 10-4, have topped all of the polls for three straight weeks.
Denver, Wisconsin and St. Cloud State are Nos. 2-4 in each poll, respectively, and Benidji State is fifth in the U.S. College Hockey Online and USA Today polls, but Yale is No. 5 in the Inside College Hockey power rankings.
-- St. Cloud State and Yale moved up one in their current spots in the INCH poll.
Denver, which beat Mercyhurst, 4-1 and Air Force, 2-1 last weekend; and Wisconsin, which edged Michigan, 3-2 in the outdoor game, did were idle in the rankings.
-- Miami earned 43 of 50 first-place votes in the USCHO poll. Denver received three and Wisconsin one.
The RedHawks' lead over Denver increased from 43 points (993-950) to 47 (996-949).
-- Miami fell one vote short of a sweep in the USA Today poll.
The RedHawks received 33 of 34 votes for No. 1, which Denver earning the other.
Miami extended its voting points lead to 31, 509-478. Last week, the RedHawks led Denver by 26.
ANALYSIS: Miami's extraordinary effort over the weekend has the team receiving almost every possible No. 1 vote.
The only surprise here is how well St. Cloud and Bemidji State have done in the second half of the season.
Since Miami has faced both teams, this will help the RedHawks in NCAA Tournament seeding - should they need it.
