Miami takes on struggling W. Michigan

WHO: Western Michigan Broncos (6-13-5) at No. 1 Miami RedHawks (16-4-6).

WHERE: Cady Arena, Oxford, Ohio.

WHEN: Friday, 7:35 p.m.; Saturday, 5:05 p.m.

TV: Both games--ONN. Saturday--FSN Detroit (DirecTV Ch. 663).

MIAMI RADIO COVERAGE: Both games--WPFB-AM (910), Middletown, Ohio.

NOTES: Western Michigan is winless in its last nine games, including a series last weekend vs. Bowling Green.

The Broncos have allowed 31 goals in that stretch, and are currently last in points among the 12 teams in the CCHA.

A pair of sophomore right wings are tied for Western Michigan's scoring lead with 17 points. Junior Max Campell - a New York Rangers' draft pick, is third on the team with 13 points.

Among defensemen, senior Tyler Ludwick leads Western Michigan in blueliner goals (2), assists (7) and points (9).

Freshman defenseman Luke Witnowski, who has a goal and four assists, is a Tampa Bay Lightning draft pick.

Senior Riley Gill has logged 79 percent of Western Michigan's minutes in goal this season, and he will likely start both games this weekend.

Riley is 5-10-4 with a 2.76 goals-against average, and his save percentage is .920.
