Junior Carter Camper, who had a goal and an assist on Saturday (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

Hartman2.jpg

Freshman Joe Hartman leads all Miami defensemen in goals (4), and is the only RedHawk with two shorthanded tallies (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

Hirschfeld.jpg

Notre Dame freshman goaltender Mike Johnson keeps his eyes on Miami sophomore Alden Hirschfeld, who is set up in front of the Irish net for a potential scoring chance (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

Reichard2.jpg

Sophomore Cody Reichard stopped 24 shots to record his second shutout of the season on Friday (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

Knapp2.jpg

And sophomore Connor Knapp stopped 18 shots on Saturday to pick up his second. It was the first time in Miami's 32-season varsity history that the RedHawks have blanked a team in a weekend series (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

 LoVerde3.jpg

Junior defenseman Vincent LoVerde easily leads the team in blocked shots with 33. LoVerde is the lone junior on the young RedHawks blueline, and Miami has no senior defensemen.

McKenzie.jpg

With the puck rolling in on Notre Dame's net, freshman Curtis McKenzie skated around a pursuing defenseman, stole the puck, put a shot on net which Notre Dame freshman goalie Mike Johnson could not corral cleanly. The puck is lying between Johnson's blocker and right leg pad, and McKenzie -- whose momentum had carried him behind the net -- skates into the crease to try and poke the loose puck in (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

Miele4.jpg

Junior Andy Miele leads Miami in assists (11) and points (16). He also is second-best among RedHawks forwards with 14 blocked shots, and is second on the team in faceoff percentage among draw regulars at .540 (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

Palmer2.jpg

Senior Jarod Palmer is currently tied for 37th all-time among Miami scorers with 106 points. He is tied for second on the team in goals (5), second in assists (9) and is tied with junior Tommy Wingels for the RedHawks' lead in game-winning goals with three (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

Schilling.jpg

Sophomore defenseman Cameron Schilling had a career-best three assists on Saturday. He has a goal and seven assists, and is already ahead of last season's scoring total of seven points. Schilling is Miami's leader in plus-minus at plus-11 (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

SmithR.jpg

With four goals, Reilly Smith is tied for the team lead in freshman goals (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

Spinell2.jpg

After not dressing six of Miami's first seven games, freshman defenseman Steven Spinell has played in 10 of 11, including the last six.

Tomassoni.jpg

The last six games, sophomore Matt Tomassoni has played forward on Miami's fourth line and has also helped kill penalties as a defenseman. He picked up his first assist of the season on Saturday (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

Vaive2.jpg

Junior Justin Vaive battles for positioning in front of the Notre Dame net. Vaive scored his third goal of the season on Saturday, with his father, Rick, in attendance. Rick Vaive scored 50 goals three times for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and finished with 441 career NHL goals (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

weber2.jpg

Sophomore Will Weber throwing his weight around after a whistle. Weber had five points last season, but he already has three in 2009-10, and after piling up 75 penalty minutes last season, he has just 24 through 18 games this year (Cathy White/CNATI.com).

Wideman.jpg

Sophomore Chris Wideman is tied for second among Miami defensemen in blocked shots with 16, and his seven points rank him third among RedHawks defenseman (Cathy White/CNATI.com).
