Sophomore goaltender Cody Reichard was 47-for-49 against one of the best teams in the country in one of the most hostile college hockey rinks in the country.
For his accomplishment, he was named CCHA goaltender of the week on Monday. On Tuesday, Inside College Hockey awarded him national player of the week honors.
Reichard was in net for both games at Michigan over the weekend, a 3-1 win on Friday and a 5-1 victory on Saturday.
Also, senior forward Jarod Palmer earned CCHA offensive player of the week honors for scoring the first two goals of Friday's game and assisting on another Saturday.
Reichard remains unbeaten this season, and is 7-0 in games he starts. Palmer leads the team in goals (5), game-winning goals (3) and points (12).
CANNONE CLIMBING: Junior center Pat Cannone reached the 20-goal and 70-point marks this weekend with his two-point game on Saturday.

MORE ON PALMER: Palmer's third game-winning goal on Friday gave him a career best for a season. Palmer had two GWG as a sophomore and again as a junior, and one as a freshman, giving him eight game winners for his career.
That moves Palmer into a four-way tie for 10th all-time at Miami with Adam Copeland, Jason Deskins and Derek Edwardson.
MORE ON REICHARD: Even though he's only a sophomore, Reichard's two wins over the weekend moved into a tie for 10th in all-time Miami victories with 17.
Reichard pulled even with Kevin Deschambeault, Brent Smith and Tim Hall.
Reichard also eclipsed the 1,500-minute mark for his career, which qualifies him for Miami's career leaders list. His goals-against average sits at 1.96, slightly ahead of Jeff Zatkoff for first all-time among Miamians.
Reichard's career save percentage is currently .920, which ranks second behind Zatkoff.

On the season, Miami is 19.0 percent on the power play, ranked eighth in the CCHA.
Miami gave up a power play goal on Friday, but the RedHawks killed eight man-advantage chances on Saturday, snapping a six-game streak of games allowing a PPG.
