After its 0-1-1 weekend in North Dakota, Miami dropped to No. 3 in the Inside College Hockey power rankings, but remained first in the U.S. College Hockey Online and USA Today polls.
Miami, which lost 3-2 to Bemidji State on Friday and tied North Dakota, 5-5 on Saturday in the Holiday Classic at Grand Forks, N.D., had topped all three for the past seven weeks.
-- Denver took over the top spot in the INCH power rankings, up from second place last week. North Dakota moved up two spots to No. 2, Miami dropped two places.
-- Miami's lead shrunk from 45 points to 11 in this week's USCHO poll. Denver remained in second place, and North Dakota moved up to third.
Last week, Miami received 37 of 50 first-place votes, but this week the RedHawks got 20 of 50. Denver earned 14, North Dakota and fourth-ranked Quinnipiac seven each, and No. 5 Bemidji State two.
-- In the USA Today poll, Miami's lead has been trimmed to 13 points, down from 23 last week. Miami received 18 of 34 first-place votes after getting 26 a week ago.
Second-ranked Denver got 10, and No. 3 North Dakota earned three.
