On another note, you should start the Ctrentrosecrans 1531 station in the janitor room of Clear channel.

Just wanted to say so, all the way from L.A., where you help me stay on top of my world'o'RedsBearcatsBengalsMusketeers-cincyburgers'n'music-etal. And the first thing I did was rock your RSS feed - so, along with following you on twitter, hope to see you become the @anamariecox of Cincy sports'n'culture (that's the best compliment/best wish I can think of!).

I'd be OK if I were you too because I'm sure you realize you're just a victim of some very f'd up circumstances (again, which sucks) but when it comes down to it you're outstanding at what you do and you've become quite popular here so you're bound to land somewhere else soon. Sorry to hear the news, CTR. You just went through all of this not long ago. It's never easy. Times are a changing, that's for sure. But we have to wonder if it's for the better or not.

as part of my morning routine, i got online to read thinking out loud. when it got to be around 1 and it still wasn't updated, i figured you got swine flu. then i found out you were laid off. i wish it had been swine flu.

As someone who has always blamed CC for ruining radio musically I think in the long run you'll be better off.

As a non Cincinnati (Huntington, WV) resident, but a Reds fan, CTR I'm pretty bummed about hearing about your job loss! You made reading about the reds enjoyable and fun! not like most. You has a style that keeps it light and fresh. I hope you land some where in the cincy area where he can continue his reds beat coverage.

We'll follow around anywhere, CTrent. Fact is you're a good one, and the good ones are few enough that they eventually find and keep a following. Keep tapping your keyboard and you'll be fine.

Most/all of my sentiments have been expressed by others, but I don't care: (i) loved reading your blog everyday; (ii) appreciated your candor and your journalistic approach; (iii) can't imagine not having your take on Reds/Bengals going forward; and (iv) thanks for supplying me with about half of my favorite bookmarks (JT's blog, Doug Gray's site, etc.).

I wish you nothing but the best with your next 'new beginning'. (I just hope it doesn't involve Cleveland or Pittsburgh...)

Hate to hear about getting laid off. What a bummer. Just wanted to tell you how much you are appreciated, Like everyone else has stated, and to thank you for starting a blog site that still exists on another site. We all came together under your leadership to talk about Reds baseball, pork products and music. Thanks to you we continue your legend and hope you come by and see us sometime. I am absolutely stunned....how does Daryl Parks sleep at night? CTrent, you are by far the most talented personality at 1530. You have class, terrific reporting skills, and people relate to you because you are a normal guy, not some egotistical, wanna be superstar like the guy they kept (shotgun) at 1530. You truly deserved better today. I wish you nothing but the best and hope you land on your feet soon.

I love sports and you by far top the any of the writers I regularly follow. I will definitely keep you and your colleauges in my thoughts and prayers. I hope something comes along that will keep you in Cincinnati - it would be a shame to lose the best journalist in town.

Another Black Tuesday, this is just terrible news, for you and your counterparts. I would say that I am going to miss hearing you on 1530 Homer, but, I will no longer be listening to said station. I wish you nothing but the best. They say, " when one door closes, another one opens". Whichever new door opens for you, please keep us informed.
