About
In the internet age, there is no shortage of places to find opinion and commentary on the day's events in sports, but there are fewer original sources of reporting. In Cincinnati alone, the press boxes at Great American Ball Park and Paul Brown Stadium are seeing empty seats. The Cincinnati Post has shut down, the Dayton Daily News is no longer employing full-time beat writers for the Cincinnati teams and while the local radio behemoth talks about the games, they're no longer there.
CNati.com is a reaction to this new world order of journalism. CNati.com believes in the charge of journalism and the advantages for the fans of having an independent voice covering the local sports scene.
CNati.com was founded by C. Trent Rosecrans, a former Reds beat writer for the Cincinnati Post and reporter for 1530Homer.com. He is a member of the Baseball Writers Association of America and the Pro Football Writers of America. Rosecrans was voted "Best Journalist" by the readers of Cincinnati's CityBeat Magazine and has also won numerous writing awards on the national and state levels.
Also writing for CNati.com are veteran writers Scott Prisetle and Josh Katzowitz.
Priestle is a former writer for the Columbus Dispatch, having covered the Reds, Bengals, Indians and Ohio State sports. A Cincinnati native, Priestle graduated from Elder High School and attended Ohio State University.
Katzowitz has worked at the Cincinnati Post, Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle and Marietta (Ga.) Daily Journal. He's also written for the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Cincinnati Gentlemen and other publications. In 2009 he published his first book, Bearcats Rising
